ROSSELLA RESI
My passion for language studies and translations has been a constant in my life ever since my adolescence. I always used to have my suitcase in hand, not that of a tourist but one full of all the needs of a person who wants to live in a country and be a part of its life; translating words is relatively simple but what lies behind those words has important cultural implications and reflects the way of thinking of those that use them. I wanted to understand them…it was necessary and, to my good fortune, really enjoyable!
I obtained my A-Level Certificate in England and, the following year, the Maturity diploma in Italy. I earned a degree in Translation at the SSML of Vicenza after which I mastered in Specialized Translation and Interpretation for Conferences at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz in Germany. During all that time, I lived, studied and worked abroad at every opportunity. Since 2008, I have been working full-time offering language services as a translator and interpreter at conferences.
Today, with Pivot, I have a long-standing experience to my credit in the Specialized Translation and Interpretation sector: millions of words translated, thousands of hours of interpretation, subtitles for more than 200 films, so many loyal clients, research in numerous specialized sectors and still today with the same passion as when I began for the German, English, French and Italian Languages.
Professional Translator and Interpreter ex. L. 14.1.2013 n. 4
Member of AITI, Associazione italiana per la Terminologia, Deutscher Terminologie-Tag e.V e Gesellschaft für Angewandte Linguistik.
